Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller’s Design Group seeks a Controls Engineer for data center projects. You will deploy, configure, and commission control systems, including BMS and EPMS, with heavy onsite presence. The role involves coordinating with designers, electricians, and client teams to meet project goals.

You will spend 75%+ time onsite, travel up to 90%, and relocate if needed. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and strong communication within large teams are required; experience with data-center controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience starting up control systems with significant onsite time
• Ability to spend 75%+ time onsite
• Must be open to travel 90% or relocate close to site (relocation assistance offered)
• Strong communicator and ability to work within large teams
• Experience with BMS and EPMS commissioning is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects and implement solutions for clients
• Deploy and commission control systems including BMS/EPMS and related devices
• Configure and validate hardware, networks, and instrumentation on site
• Lead and guide subcontractors on site and ensure adherence to program standards
• Grow expertise in emerging markets and leadership within BW Design Group
