Job summary

AWS Global Controls team in Ashburn, VA is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, manage projects, and maintain building management and electrical power monitoring systems in data centers.

You will work with mechanical and electrical components, engage with internal customers and stakeholders to develop processes and standards, and provide technical support while advancing diversity and work-life harmony.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments such as data centers or pharmaceuticals.
• 4+ years of project or vendor management experience related to construction and project execution.
• Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC Controls or Electrical SCADA systems.
• Experience using common industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot controls systems and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in data center environments.
• Lead project management activities and vendor coordination for building systems improvements.
• Maintain building management and electrical power monitoring systems to ensure uptime and efficiency.
• Engage with internal customers and stakeholders to develop processes and standards and provide technical support.
