Job summary

South Bend, IN area is hosting a major data center construction project. We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead contract administration, subcontract management and commercial risk across the lifecycle of a large-scale build.

The role requires close collaboration with the Project Executive, commercial team and subcontractors, managing change orders, claims and compliance while ensuring proper documentation, insurance and records are maintained on site.

Qualifications

• Recent data center or mission-critical construction experience is essential.
• Previous experience with a General Contractor or major Construction Manager is required.
• Strong experience in contracts, subcontract administration, changes and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing subcontract agreements and contract administration across the project.
• Reviewing contract terms, scopes of work and commercial obligations.
• Supporting subcontractor procurement, negotiations and contract award.
• Managing change orders, claims, notices and contractual correspondence.
• Tracking subcontractor compliance against contract requirements.
• Identifying contractual and commercial risks and supporting mitigation strategies.
• Working with project teams to resolve scope gaps, disputes and commercial issues.
• Supporting cost control and change management processes.
• Ensuring documentation, insurance, bonds and contractual records are maintained.
• Monitoring contract milestones, deliverables and notice requirements.
• Providing commercial reporting and contract status updates to leadership.
• Coordinating with legal teams on claims or complex matters.
• Supporting project closeout and final account reconciliation.
