Job summary

Medcor Safety is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to support a large data center construction project in Castroville, Texas. This field-based role focuses on dirt work and underground utilities, enforcing safety standards on site with crews and contractors.

You will identify hazards, conduct inspections and audits, review training records, and ensure OSHA compliance. Requirements include 5+ years in construction safety and CPR/First Aid; CHST or OSHA 500 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Experience conducting jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with field crews, supervisors, contractors, and project leadership.
• Comfortable working in an active construction environment.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Identify construction safety hazards and mitigate risk with field personnel and management.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Observe crews and address unsafe conditions and practices.
• Document findings and communicate site safety results.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
• Review safety training records.
• Develop and implement Site-Specific Safety Plans.
• Participate in kickoff meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Assist with incident documentation and safety bulletins.
• Collaborate with crews, supervisors, management, contractors, and outside agencies.
• Review client safety requirements to maintain compliance.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all construction phases.
