Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee the Operations & Maintenance account site(s) of data centers and new construction. You will manage a fast-paced Steam Plant and related equipment, supervising personnel to ensure safe, efficient operation while coordinating with the client and O&M team on contract execution.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of maintenance experience in an academic or data center environment, strong leadership, and the ability to train and lead

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent field experience.
• Five or more years of experience in general maintenance work in an Academic Environment.
• Validated leadership abilities.
• Able to lead and train entry-level personnel.
• Able to take care of customers and others at all levels.
• Knowledge of JCI procedures and policies.
• Must be a standout colleague, committed to working in a quality environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute operations & maintenance for an O&M account site(s) of data centers and new construction.
• Operate a fast paced Steam Plant and associated equipment; supervise staff for safe and efficient operation.
• Hire, train, and schedule staff to fulfill O&M obligations; manage 24-hour operation coverage.
• Develop and implement safety procedures; procure safety equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and coordinate with vendors and clients.
• Be on call 24/7 for telephone assistance and emergency response; adhere to budgets.
