Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a Data Center East Region Construction Manager to lead a team delivering high-profile, energy-efficient data center campuses across the Eastern US and Europe.

You will oversee ground-up builds, expansions, and retrofits, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery to Apple’s standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in Real Estate, Legal, Design, EH&S, and Network Infrastructure to align programs with business goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data center or large-scale mission-critical construction.
• Minimum of 5 years in a people-management role overseeing construction PMs or a similar leadership team.
• Experience managing programs with total capital budgets of $500M+.
• Expertise in owner-operator data center delivery models and related procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Construction Project Managers across Eastern US & Europe.
• Own regional construction portfolio with budgets > $750M and provide executive-level reporting.
• Drive ground-up construction, expansions, and retrofits in live data center environments.
• Act as senior owner representative with General Contractors, design consultants, and subcontractors.
• Partner with Real Estate, Legal, Design & Engineering, EH&S, Energy, Network Infrastructure, and Data Center Operations teams to align delivery with business goals.
• Lead procurement strategy for major contracts including bidding, prequalification, and negotiations.
• Review major proposals, change orders, and claims; guide PMs in cost analyses.
• Establish master schedules and drive mitigation of critical path risks.
• Oversee commissioning programs and ensure integrated testing across projects.
• Champion safety and sustainability across all activities and regional/global programs.
