Job summary

Spencer Ogden, in Virginia, seeks an experienced Construction Manager to act as Owner’s Representative for a growing data center program in Dulles. You will provide construction oversight, coordinate GC/subcontractors, and ensure electrical systems align with drawings, specs, and standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction management on large-scale or mission-critical projects, with strong electrical and data center experience, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience on large-scale or mission-critical projects.
• Strong electrical construction or engineering background.
• Experience managing General Contractors and electrical subcontractors.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day construction oversight as the Owner’s Representative.
• Manage and coordinate General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedule, quality, safety, cost, and overall construction progress.
• Oversee electrical construction activities and ensure work aligns with project drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate installation of critical electrical infrastructure, including medium/high-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, and related equipment.
• Lead and participate in construction meetings, progress reviews, inspections, and coordination meetings.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other construction documentation.
• Identify project risks, construction issues, and schedule impacts and drive resolution.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, and other MEP activities to ensure proper sequencing and integration.
• Support commissioning, testing, turnover, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain clear communication between the Owner, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams
