Job summary

Pogue Construction is seeking an experienced Data Center Superintendent to lead field operations on mission-critical projects across Texas. This role oversees safety, quality, and schedule performance while coordinating with clients, trade partners, and design professionals.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex MEP systems and fast-paced schedules in data center environments, and thrives in a collaborative, employee-owned setting that values integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 3+ years of Superintendent experience managing large-scale projects.
• Experience leading data center or other MEP-intensive projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
• Reading and interpreting plans and shop drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all field construction activities from sitework through commissioning and turnover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with Project Management.
• Lead daily field operations to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular subcontractor coordination meetings and daily planning.
• Review documents for conflicts or constructability issues.
• Lead MEP coordination among subcontractors, consultants, and commissioning teams.
• Manage equipment deliveries and installation sequencing for long-lead equipment.
• Support testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Monitor critical path milestones and work with client reps on requirements.
• Participate in IST, commissioning, and final acceptance.
