Job summary

Pogue Construction is seeking a Data Center Superintendent to lead field operations on mission-critical projects across Texas. This role oversees safety, quality, and schedule performance while collaborating with clients, trade partners, and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with complex MEP systems, data center environments, and fast-paced schedules in a family-oriented, ESOP culture. Join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial construction experience.
3+ years of Superintendent experience managing large-scale construction projects.
Experience leading data center, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, healthcare, or similarly complex MEP-intensive projects.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors on complex projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee field construction activities from sitework through commissioning and turnover.
Develop and maintain detailed short-term and long-term project schedules in coordination with Project Management.
Lead daily field operations to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities.
Conduct regular subcontractor coordination meetings and daily planning sessions.
Review construction documents and proactively identify conflicts or constructability concerns.
