Kelly Construction seeks a Construction Manager to oversee data center installation activities in Frederick, Maryland. The role focuses on managing low-voltage subcontractors, schedules, costs, quality, and safety to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in line with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in construction management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Experience overseeing low-voltage electrical or controls installations.
• Experience managing subcontractors, installation schedules, field activities, and deliverables.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, quality, and performance of low-voltage subcontractors on data center projects.
• Oversee installation of low-voltage conduit, cabling, controls, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Communicate with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and leads.
• Develop labor plans, schedules, and quality-control plans.
• Maintain project scope and NEC compliance.
• Define subcontractor responsibilities and deliverables.
• Identify scope changes and manage change orders.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Forecast costs and address potential overruns.
• Track milestones and ensure schedule adherence.
• Coordinate resource allocation with internal teams.
• Provide progress updates to leadership and clients.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Review installations for quality and code compliance.
