Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Frederick, MD seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead the installation phase of large data center projects on-site. You will manage low-voltage subcontractors, schedules, costs, quality, and safety while coordinating with clients, GCs, and internal teams to meet scope and budget.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management, 10+ years in construction management and strong NEC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience managing low-voltage electrical or controls installations.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors, schedules, field activities and deliverables.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, quality and performance of low-voltage subcontractors.
• Oversee installation of low-voltage conduit, cabling and controls.
• Ensure on-time delivery within established budget and contract requirements.
• Serve as primary communication link between clients, GC, subcontractors and PM.
• Develop labor plans, schedules and quality-control plans with the PM.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans; track budgets and costs.
• Review field installations for quality and code compliance.
