Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to lead large-scale data center projects, overseeing feasibility through completion and developing strategies, plans, and budgets. You will assemble project teams and supervise craft employees across civil, structural, electrical disciplines.

Based near Indianapolis or willing to travel to ongoing client sites, you will drive safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control while coordinating with unions, vendors, and executives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years supervisory experience in facility construction technology, commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience on Commercial or Industrial projects with budgets of at least $15M.
• Experience in MEP, Concrete, Steel, Underground Utilities, Fire Alarm, Building Finishes and Enclosure systems.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Strategy: Plan and supervise construction activities, determine methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate work with crafts, departments, or contractors; resolve problems and maintain union communication.
• Resource Management: Monitor safety program compliance and document corrective actions; ensure materials and inspections support schedules.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with executives, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and address concerns.
• Performance Monitoring: Track progress with metrics and adjust plans to meet changing requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and compliance regulations.
• Innovation and Improvement: Seek ways to optimize processes through new technologies or methods.
