Job summary

CyrusOne seeks a Senior Project Manager, Construction & Development to lead data center construction projects from planning through closeout. You will manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, risk, and contractor performance at Chicago-area sites with up to 25% travel.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, oversee OAC meetings, and drive sustainability programs while delivering on deadlines and capital plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mission-critical data center development or heavy MEP construction.
• Experience leading construction project teams with accountability for scope, schedule, and execution.
• Ability to manage project finances: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change orders.
• Experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and disciplines, including internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and permitting of major projects.
• Collaborate with Procurement to develop and issue RFPs for General Contractors.
• Prepare capital expenditure presentations for Director review.
• Negotiate contracts with CxA, testing vendors, GCs, and Subcontractors.
• Manage and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and weekly updates for Director review.
• Lead construction and development from inception through commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
• Coordinate among Development, Design, Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external partners.
