Job summary

Prime Data Centers (PDC) is seeking a Commissioning (Cx) Program Engineer (CxE) to lead the commissioning lifecycle across its regional data center portfolio. This owner’s-representative role enforces standards and coordinates with construction and design teams, driving third-party CxAs and project teams toward on-time, defect-free turnovers to Operations.

The CxE will join the global commissioning team, support budgeting and risk planning, and travel domestically as needed to sites including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline — or equivalent mission critical/data center experience in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years in commissioning, MEP engineering, or mission-critical construction, including 5+ years delivering data center projects.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and leading commissioning teams.
• Familiarity with mission-critical MEP systems (power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, controls, fire/life safety).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, sequences of operations, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Enforce commissioning standards, templates, and processes across projects.
• Coordinate with leadership to refine corporate standards and processes.
• Own and oversee the L2–L5 commissioning lifecycle for the campus.
• Develop and execute contracts for Cx services, budgeting, scheduling, and turnover.
• Provide oversight to project teams, contractors, and third-party CxA vendors.
