Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Commissioning Program Engineer (CxE) to act as the project-level administrator for the global commissioning program across a regional portfolio. The role owns the commissioning lifecycle from RFP to turnover and coordinates with design, construction, and third-party CxAs.

The CxE leads the L2–L5 framework, enforces standards, manages budgets and schedules, and travels domestically as needed to ensure on-time, defect-free turnovers to Operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commissioning, MEP, or mission-critical construction.
• 5+ years delivering data center projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of L0–L5 commissioning lifecycle.
• Expertise in power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, BMS/EPMS.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NEC/NFPA, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Enforce commissioning standards and processes across projects.
• Lead L2–L5 lifecycle management for campuses.
• Develop contracts for Cx services and review costs.
• Coordinate with leadership to refine standards.
• Oversee IST and pre-functional tests.
• Track KPIs and report to leadership.
• Manage third-party CxA providers and vendors.
• Coordinate handover and training for operations.
• Travel domestically as needed.
• Ensure complete commissioning documentation.
