QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Manager of Facilities Operations Engineering Commissioning to oversee regional commissioning, continuous improvement, and development support for multiple sites across the United States. You will leadCx Engineers, coordinate with project teams, and drive efficiency in electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems.

The role requires deep experience in data center engineering and a proactive, collaborative leadership style, with 30–50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years engineering experience in technical/critical environments (data centers or similar).
• 3+ years of management/supervisory experience overseeing engineering/operations managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning teams in the assigned region and develop capabilities.
• Ensure quality, safety, and ongoing operation per standards.
• Oversee regional travel budgets and expenditure compliance.
• Coordinate with project departments and external resources for system design, installation, and testing.
• Direct engineers to witness testing and validate operations documentation.
• Revise commissioning plans for multi-level systems across facilities.
• Identify and resolve issues, driving continuous improvement with the project team.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, ERP, and change management procedures for critical environments.
• Lead metrics development and drive vendor oversight and turnover.
• Foster environmentally conscious improvements across facilities programs.
