Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead multi-discipline commissioning of data center systems in the Phoenix area. You will manage testing, documentation, and coordination with engineering, construction teams and a third-party commissioning agent.

Occasional travel to other sites is expected. The role requires a strong background in mechanical/electrical systems, life safety, and building automation, with a focus on delivering compliant, high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Five+ years of work experience in data center engineering, commissioning, or project management.
• Background in building maintenance, CCTV and Access control, network, telecommunications, and/or fire detection/suppression.

Responsibilities

• Assist in site construction activities to ensure system design, installation and testing adhere to operational standards.
• Develop commissioning plans for Level 1–5 systems including electrical, mechanical and Building Automation components.
• Conduct commissioning activities to ensure systems are installed, tested and validated per standards.
• Identify and resolve issues during commissioning; document findings for program management.
• Create and review commissioning documentation, test procedures, and as-built records.
• Witness testing and validate sequences of operations and documentation.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers and operations for seamless integration.
• Apply quality control and regulatory standards throughout build and commissioning.
