Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a Commissioning Project Engineer to oversee design, construction, and post-acceptance QA for data center projects. You will manage field testing, witness testing, and documentation while interfacing with clients and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have proven data center experience, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel or relocate temporarily as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVACR, mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management or related field.
• 5+ years employment in a staff or intern position related to maintenance, construction, or engineering controls and/or 1+ years in the data center commissioning industry
• 3+ years of experience managing interconnectivity of building equipment (pumps, fans, motors, etc.)
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, bid process, and related documents

Responsibilities

• Complete office assignments and time/expense management.
• In-field installation validation and field observation reporting.
• Functional performance testing, on-site and factory witness testing, and submittal reviews.
• Coordinate with project engineers and senior engineers and mentor team members.
