Job summary

Black Box Network Services in New Albany, OH is seeking an Infrastructure Technician II to install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiber and copper in data centers.

You will read project drawings, follow safety standards, mentor others, and work with a team to keep projects moving. Requires 3–5 years cabling experience, OSHA10/First Aid, and relevant certifications; on-site with some travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• FOA certifications, BICSI cabling certifications, or similar credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiber optics, copper, communications, and other low voltage systems.
• Build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure.
• Perform physical installations and removals with precision, safety, and attention to detail.
• Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Apply broad understanding of structured cabling installation, routing, labeling, and commissioning.
