Job summary

EOS IT Solutions in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Data Center Technician to install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling, including fiber, and to rack and stack data center equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to procedures while ensuring reliable infrastructure and uptime.

The ideal candidate will work with the infrastructure team, perform basic troubleshooting, and respond to emergencies to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or tech certification or equivalent work experience.
• Experience installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cabling infrastructure.
• Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
• Familiarity with BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA standards and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling and communications cabling.
• Rack and stack equipment and assist with cable management in data centers.
• Read port maps and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Follow MOP and CMOP guidelines and use work ticket systems.
• Coordinate with team to complete projects and maintain SLAs.
