Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager to coordinate day-to-day low-voltage cabling execution in a data center build environment.

You will lead field crews, coordinate with testing, network, inventory, documentation, and site leadership to ensure work is completed safely and to project standards. This role emphasizes adherence to BICSI/ANSI-TIA cabling practices, routing, labeling, patching, and quality checks, with a focus on milestone tracking, turnover readiness, and site

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on understanding of structured cabling installation practices for copper and fiber in data center environments.
  • Knowledge of cable routing, dressing, patching, labeling, test preparation, and remediation workflows.
  • Ability to read cable schedules, rack elevations, drawings, port maps, patch schedules, and work packages.
  • Familiarity with BICSI/ANSI-TIA cabling practices, including pathway use, bend radius, labeling discipline, and documentation traceability.
  • Attention to detail for labeling and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to lead installers or small crews and coordinate multiple workstreams.
  • Onsite data center and construction environment safety awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate field execution for copper and fiber cable routing, dressing, pathway usage, rack/cabinet cable management, and installation quality.
  • Ensure workmanship standards including bend radius, pulling tension, bundle size, cable support, slack storage, strain relief, and clean cabling.
  • Own labeling execution and verification for cables, patch panels, cabinets, ports, and related records.
  • Coordinate patching activities and ensure correct port-to-port connectivity with accurate records.
  • Support testing readiness by ensuring labels, endpoints, and information are prepared.
  • Track test defects and coordinate remediation with installation teams.
  • Perform in-process quality checks for pinched cables, mislabeling, bend-radius violations.
  • Maintain daily progress updates, punch-list items, and turnover documentation.
  • Coordinate with TPM2/site leadership, network teams, materials teams, and subcontractors to remove blockers.
  • Promote safe work practices and site compliance in active construction or data halls.
