Job summary

Align is seeking a Data Center Cabling Project Manager to lead large cabling installations across AI and hyperscale data centers in the United States. You will oversee all low‑voltage cabling activities from planning to field execution, ensuring safe, correct, and on‑schedule delivery.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, hands‑on troubleshooting, and travel to project sites (75%). Prior PM experience is not required if you bring a robust data center cabling background and the ability to

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, low‑voltage, or fiber optic systems, preferably in large data centers.
• Proven experience leading field cabling crews.
• Ability to read cabling design drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of labeling standards and cabling best practices.
• Strong Excel skills for data vetting, port mapping, tracking, pivots/macros.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee installation of cabling and support systems in new data center white space.
• Set and maintain cabling standards for multiple projects.
• Build and manage cabling tracking sheets (pull patch schedules).
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and internal crews to keep projects on schedule.
• Perform on‑site quality checks—verifications of terminations, labeling, routing, and test results.
• Monitor project progress and timelines; communicate changes to leadership and clients.
• Manage documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Enforce safety rules and lead daily toolbox talks with field teams.
• Report daily field progress and any issues impacting schedules or budgets.
