Job summary

Lancesoft in Abilene, TX seeks an Infrastructure Technician II for a 3+ month contract to build, maintain, and optimize data center structured cabling. You will install, test, and splice fiber and copper, read project drawings, and follow safety standards while supporting a fast-paced team.

The role requires 3–5 years telecom/cabling experience, OSHA10 preferred, and readiness to work variable shifts. Hands-on, technically focused environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• FOA certifications, BICSI cabling certifications, or similar credentials preferred.
• Proficient experience installing, terminating, and testing fiber (single‑mode/multi‑mode connections).
• Proficiency with various testers - Fluke, OTDR, and VFL.
• Highly preferred - experience splicing fiber.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, splice, service, and decommission structured cabling systems incl. fiber and copper.
• Build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure.
• Perform precise, safe installations and removals.
