Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to drive new data center cable products from concept to launch. Based in Willimantic, CT or Lincoln, RI, the role requires leadership, market insight, and strong technical expertise in wire and cable.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product development, data center experience, and familiarity with UL/CSA/NEC standards. This onsite role includes 20–30% travel and collaboration across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Materials.
• 5+ years of product development engineering experience leading or contributing to projects.
• Wire and cable industry experience with knowledge of constructions and processes.
• Data center experience and cable solutions knowledge.
• Experience with UL, CSA and NEC standards.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
• Leadership and cross-functional influence; travel 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Attend industry conferences to represent Prysmian at data center events.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to gather needs and influence decisions.
• Actively engage on cable specifications committees (UL/CSA/NEC).
• Connect market demand to product needs for new opportunities.
• Lead the definition and development of new data center products.
• Respond to market changes and evolving customer requirements.
• Manage full product lifecycle from concept to launch and optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across sites to support initiatives.
• Travel to customer sites and events as required (20–30%).
