Job summary

H5 Data Centers in La Vista, NE is seeking a Data Center Building Engineer responsible for maintaining all mechanical and electrical systems within the campus on a 12-hour shift (4 days on, 4 days off). The role reports to the Facilities Manager and supports uptime for colocations.

You will coordinate with vendors, monitor critical systems, learn building controls for chillers, HVAC, and water systems, and assist with basic security duties.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of electrical and mechanical experience in high-availability environments.
• College/Technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in safety training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure uptime and critical systems within tolerances.
• Operate mechanical and electrical systems in a cost-effective manner.
• Learn and use building controls for chillers, HVAC, cooling towers, and water systems.
• Provide maintenance for mechanical and environmental systems and suggest improvements.
• Oversee third-party activities and services; assist with basic security duties.
