Job summary

RDH Building Science, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support high-performing building enclosures on large, fast-paced projects with a strong focus on data center construction.

You will travel frequently to project sites across the US, from design through construction and field review, collaborating with design teams, contractors, clients, and field staff. The role requires strong building science knowledge, enclosure design experience, and the ability to stamp as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Science, or related field from an accredited university.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in building enclosure consulting, building science, or related field.
• Professional Engineer or Architect registration, or actively working toward licensure, with ability to stamp as required.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical components of projects and supporting project financial performance.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently to project sites, including occasional extended periods on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of building enclosure scopes on projects of moderate complexity, including large-scale data center projects.
• Complete investigations, analysis, design, documentation, and field reviews with a high degree of independence.
• Provide regular on-site support during construction, documenting observations and helping resolve enclosure-related issues.
• Deliver assigned scopes within budget and schedule while maintaining strong technical quality.
• Complete project administration tasks to support effective project management.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to support timely project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior staff through task-level guidance and review.
• Navigate team conflicts and ethical considerations professionally.
• Embed health and safety into project planning, travel, and field activities.
• Support responsible stewardship of company resources.
