Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical in Lithia Springs, GA seeks a full-time BIM Engineer-Data Center to lead and support BIM development for large-scale data center projects.

You will work with engineers, project managers and field teams to deliver accurate, constructible designs meeting client requirements. Responsibilities include leading 3D BIM model development for electrical systems, coordinating file structures, managing clash detection, and producing detailed drawings and BOMs to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years BIM coordination/engineering experience; data center experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and related BIM software.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, conduit routing and constructability on large projects.
• Experience in clash detection, coordination meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings, specifications and design markups.
• Excellent attention-to-detail, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and coordination of 3D BIM models for electrical systems and components.
• Oversees model setup, file structure, and version control per BIM standards.
• Collaborates with BIM Modelers and disciplines to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Performs clash detection reviews and resolves coordination issues with design and field teams.
• Produces and reviews shop drawings, installation drawings and as-built models for field use.
• Generates and validates BOMs from BIM models to support procurement and controls.
