Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time BIM Modeler-Data Center in Lithia Springs, GA. The role focuses on coordination and detailing of 3D electrical systems with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Trimble for prefabrication and installation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of CAD experience, electrical detailing, and strong communication skills. Office proficiency and data center exposure are highly valued; on-site collaboration with project teams is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or equivalent training.
• HS Diploma/GED; associate's degree preferred.
• Electrical detailing and modeling experience desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and detail 3D electrical systems with other trades using AutoCAD, Trimble, Navisworks and Revit for prefabrication and installation.
• Understand and apply markups for each system.
• Resolve clashes from BIM Track Issues/Clash Reports.
• Attend coordination meetings and potentially lead the project.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform site tasks as required.

Job Summary

• Coordination and detailing in 3D electrical systems with other trades/installations using AutoCAD, Trimble, Navisworks, and Revit software for prefabrication and installation.
• Understand Markups of each system
• Bulk of population
• Solve clashes from BIM Track Issues/Clash Reports
• Sit in coordination meetings to become more familiar with job and develop the availability to lead the project
• Completes additional duties as directed by supervisor.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Performs work on the Project Site and interacts with Project Team and Design Team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in usage of computer aided design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks or equivalent education/training.
• HS Diploma/GED, associate's degree preferred.
• Electrical Detailing and Modeling experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, Outlook).
• Strong communication (oral/written) and detailed organizational skills.
• Electrical Field experience highly desired.
• Data Center experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply job-related concepts, technologies, instructions, procedures, computer, and software operations.
• Ability to input data, create/annotate drawings with very high degree of accuracy on a consistent basis including high throughput with minimum supervision.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
