Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks an Automation and Control System Commissioning Manager for BMS/EPMS onsite leadership. You will oversee commissioning activities, coordinate with design, dev ops, and field teams, and ensure alignment with program goals across large data center projects in North America.

The role requires heavy travel or relocation, direct client interaction, and a strong focus on safety, scheduling, and issue resolution as projects scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial control systems or building automation at scale.
• 4+ years overseeing installation, startup and commissioning with significant onsite time.
• Strong communicator and ability to work within large teams.
• Must reside near data center campuses or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite main point of contact for DG BMS/EPMS site commissioning with client, GC, and trades.
• Lead commissioning status reviews and executive discussions with clients, commissioning agents and GC.
• Represent DG at site commissioning, design reviews, change management and scope reviews.
• Attend daily commissioning review meetings with client, GC and commissioning agent.
• Attend internal DG project and review meetings.
• Manage BMS/EPMS commissioning issue resolution: track status, reassign, close out.
• Create or input to support change order development.
• Manage onsite BMS/EPMS commissioning staffing and scheduling.
• Coordinate with DG project management and design teams on scope changes.
• Promote and enforce site safety in all commissioning activities.
