Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to lead DEC teams across multiple regions and drive construction projects for data center facilities. The role emphasizes leadership of 8–10 direct reports and matrixed safety, QAQC, and project controls support.

Travel of 50% or more is required to ensure delivery within budget and on schedule, with focus on land-ready and construction-ready sites, live-environment changes, and new builds.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing design and construction supply chains and processes.
• Experience communicating, presenting, and negotiating with cross-functional teams on complex projects.
• 15+ years of professional experience in construction and project planning of complex, mission critical projects.
• Experience with various contract delivery methodologies, legal considerations, IP, and commercial terms.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a rapidly growing business model.

Responsibilities

• Oversee New Build, land-ready and Construction-Ready sites, provide preconstruction support.
• Lead retrofit and techmod projects and onboard new hires to support programmatic initiatives.
• Provide clear, timely communications to the Area Manager and organization when capacity delivery is impacted.
• Manage project KPI health and financial stewardship across the Area.
• Support contract negotiations and CCAM presentations to ensure favorable outcomes.
• Review and advise on contracts and change orders beyond signing authority.
• Coordinate with other Area Construction Managers to align priorities and share lessons learned.
• Ensure timely resolution of site issues and onboarding of new hires across Area.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to optimize processes and drive strategy.
