Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Inspector responsible for maintaining product and process quality within the Quality Management System. The role emphasizes Data Center AHU inspection and testing, calibration, and thorough documentation.

You will interface with various teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure adherence to quality standards. Five years of related experience are required, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and testing procedures.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform Data Center AHU preparation and testing (End of Line Testing; support other testing in plant).
• Set up, program, and verify test equipment, ensuring calibration and durability.
• Create and revise customer documents based on testing or product performance.
• Understand electrical systems, AHU power and controls; develop tools for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Compare customer documentation to final product through inspections.
• Collaborate with all functional areas to meet customer and organizational requirements.
• Maintain documentation for ISO 9001 Quality Management System compliance.
• Generate deviation reports and take action to contain defective parts.
• Interface with customer service, product service, marketing to troubleshoot product issues; may include field work.
• Inspect products for dimensions, performance, and other quality characteristics; interpret drawings and procedures.
