Job summary

KCI Telecommunications in the Midland, TX area is seeking an experienced Access Control Technician II to deploy security and low voltage systems across data center projects. The role involves working on both new builds and live data centers with local travel to sites throughout the Midland market.

You will install and configure access control hardware and software, mentor junior technicians, and ensure safety protocols on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of hands-on access control install experience.
• Experience with Lenel, Software House, AMAG, Genetec or S2 platforms.
• Ability to pass onboarding and site safety requirements.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and wire access control systems and hardware.
• Route and dress low voltage and structured cabling.
• Install and wire security devices such as door contacts, motion detectors, locks, readers.
• Program and configure head-end software (Lenel, etc.).
• Support MDF/head-end room builds and IP cameras.
• Carry out commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting prior to closeout.
• Read wiring diagrams and installation plans.
• Provide on-the-job guidance to Level I technicians.
• Travel locally between Midland project sites.
