Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Technician to support a lead technician on projects across York, PA and surrounding areas, including Harrisburg and Lancaster. The role requires hands-on copper cabling work, terminating keystone jacks and modular plugs, and working with low‑voltage installations on ladders and lifts.

Travel to various job sites is expected, with about four weeks of backlog currently.

Qualifications

Structured Cabling Technician

Location: York, PA and surrounding areas, including Harrisburg and Lancaster

Duration: Project-based with potential for long-term work--currently hiring a contractor and full time employee

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Structured Cabling Technician to assist a lead technician with ongoing projects throughout York and the surrounding areas.

This is a hands‑on role requiring someone who can independently run and pull copper cabling and efficiently terminate keystone jacks and modular plugs. The technician will work alongside a lead tech on a variety of structured cabling and low‑voltage installations.

Candidates should be comfortable working on ladders and lifts and traveling to different job sites depending on current project needs.

There is currently approximately four weeks of backlogged project work. The duration is open‑ended, and there is potential for long‑term work for someone who is a strong fit.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
