Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Solutions Architect to support a federal client in Oak Ridge, TN. You will lead architecture design for end-to-end data flows, from metrics and ETL to data warehouse and visualization layers like Power BI and Tableau.

The role requires 10-15 years of experience, U.S. citizenship, and deep expertise in ELT, data modeling, and BI visualization. On-site work and security controls are essential for enterprise-grade dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
• Ability to translate high-level business goals into executive-ready KPIs and visual strategies.
• Data modeling with star/snowflake schemas in ELT data warehouses.
• Expert BI visualization with dashboard UX/UI, RLS, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in SQL and scripting languages (Python) for data transformation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops with system engineers, DBAs, and stakeholders to identify KPIs and data sources.
• Design end-to-end data flow from source metrics to the visualization layer.
• Develop SQL and scripts to clean and structure metrics into optimized schemas.
• Build and maintain dashboards tracking system health and enterprise metrics.
• Implement data access controls and row-level security.
• Lead BI tool evaluations and recommendations (Power BI, Tableau, Dynatrace).
