Job summary

PNC seeks a Software Engineering Manager within its Data and Automation Technology organization. The role is based in Cleveland, Strongsville, or Pittsburgh, leading software engineers across multiple product lines to ensure predictable delivery and strong operational excellence.

You will own end-to-end SDLC and drive engineering practices that raise code quality, reduce defects, and improve reliability with CI/CD and automated testing emphasis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience with at least 3 years in management.
• Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise UI applications.
• Experience leading SDLC end-to-end and driving DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of software engineers across product lines and ensure predictable delivery.
• Own end-to-end SDLC execution (requirements, design, build, test, release, support).
• Establish engineering practices to raise code quality and reliability (peer reviews, automated testing, CI/CD).
• Guide architecture decisions and communicate tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
