Job summary

Quartz Health Solutions is seeking a curious Data Automation Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Madison. You will join the Automation Engineering team to support enterprise automation, troubleshoot workflows, and develop solutions that improve efficiency.

Responsibilities include analyzing logs, debugging automation processes, and creating documentation while collaborating with engineers. This program includes mentorship, workshops, and paid intern benefits in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in Data Analytics, Automation Engineering, or Systems Administration as a career path.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week June–August 2027.
• Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Must live within 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to HQ June–August.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot automation workflows and system integrations
• Analyze logs and system data to identify root causes of issues
• Assist with monitoring, supporting, and maintaining automated processes
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve support tickets and operational challenges
• Create and enhance technical documentation for automation solutions
• Develop scripts and tools to improve system monitoring and operational visibility
• Participate in automation initiatives designed to reduce manual work and improve reliability
• Work with APIs, databases, servers, networks, and cloud-based technologies
