Responsibilities
Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture framework, standards, and roadmaps aligned with P&C insurance business needs.
Lead the adoption and optimization of Microsoft Fabric as the foundation of the enterprise data platform.
Drive best practices for data modeling, integration, storage, security, governance, and analytics enablement.
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure data strategy supports underwriting, claims, policy administration, regulatory reporting, and actuarial functions.
Delivery & Execution
Manage and oversee the end-to-end delivery of data programs and projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and value-driven outcomes.
Provide hands-on technical leadership, including architecture reviews, solution design, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable data pipelines, real-time processing, and analytics platforms.
Ensure data solutions meet compliance and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, state/federal insurance regulations).
Leadership & Team Management
Build and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and analysts.
Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on data strategy and emerging technologies.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
12+ years of IT/data management experience, with at least 5+ years in data architecture leadership roles.
Proven background in P&C insurance data domains (policy, claims, billing, underwriting, actuarial).
Strong experience implementing and managing Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Synapse Data Warehousing, Data Factory, Power BI, Real-Time Analytics, Governance).
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale data modernization, cloud migration, or analytics transformation programs.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and modern data lake architectures.
Strong knowledge of Azure ecosystem (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Purview, Power BI).
Hands-on coding/architecture experience in SQL, Python, and/or Spark.
Familiarity with API-driven integrations, master data management, and metadata-driven frameworks.
Leadership Skills:
Strong project/program management capabilities with proven track record of delivering complex initiatives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage business executives and technical teams alike.
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.
