Data Architect – III (Remote)
Pay Rate
$82.79/hr – $121.17/hr on W2
Knowledge And Skills
- Experience using core AWS services to build and support data solutions leveraging architecture best practices (S3, Glue, Lambda)
- Expertise in AWS Storage (S3, EBS), AWS Databases (Aurora PostgreSQL), AWS Data Integration (Glue)
- Good understanding of AWS Identity and Access Management, AWS Networking, and AWS Monitoring tools
- Proficiency in CI/CD and deployment automation using GitLab pipeline
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Strong technical skill in software engineering for Java EE/Cloud technologies and proficiency in Java Lambdas, Streams API, functional programming
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Scala)
- Knowledge of Workday data tools including Adaptive & Prism (desirable)
- Knowledge of Ariba (desirable)
Qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant discipline
- Certification related to Information Technology preferred
- Broad knowledge of programming, SQL queries, data warehouses, relational databases, and quantitative/qualitative data analytic techniques
- Broad familiarity with analyzing performance measures, metrics, and developing balanced scorecards and dashboards
Responsibilities
- Responsible for complex data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation, management, construction, and administration
- Configure database parameters, allocate resources, and review data loaded into databases for accuracy
- Lead troubleshooting of database applications, product support, analysis of data requirements, maintenance of application and processing architectures, and database schemas
- Establish integrity of complex data definitions and underlying data models, and monitor/audit overall data quality
- Lead improvements to increase efficiency of infrastructure and automation processes
- Produce complex data analytic models, ad‑hoc queries, and reports for distribution to Audit and business management; perform basic SQL queries for existing metrics and development of new metrics
- Lead software testing including code‑level/unit testing, ETL processes, SQL or reporting tools, and script development of moderate complexity
- Work and collaborate as part of an Agile team to develop and implement capabilities that enable decision‑making processes and procedures, including data, reporting, dashboards, metadata collection, metric collection, resolve data issues, data governance, data clean‑up and maintenance, data sharing agreement processes, etc.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical IT engineering designs that support infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects
- Complete analysis of business requirements as it relates to technical infrastructure design and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements
