Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a seasoned Data Analyst to work with our team and clients to architect and develop data models, data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses, and pipelines for government clients. A technologist with strong communication and problem solving is valued, with DoD Tier 3 clearance preferred.

0–2 years of related experience in data design and migration is acceptable. You will contribute to our Data Exploitation Practice, shaping data governance, storage design, and artifacts such as

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience with data model and data warehouse design
• 0-2 years of experience collaborating with management, personas, and engineers to support data quality efforts
• Experience with large-scale data migration
• Experience designing storage and retrieval solutions for both structured and unstructured data
• Experience designing data platforms for user consumption
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud technology using AWS or Azure; knowledge of managed services
• Understand customer requirements and prioritize for maximum customer / user experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline; CompTIA Network+ preferred

Responsibilities

• Work on migration of data environments with performance and reliability.
• Assess, understand, and document data sources
• Address inquiries concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture and general feature / functionality of data products
• Experience working with database / data warehouse solutions in cloud (Preferably AWS; alternatively Azure, GCP)
