Job description

The Data Architect supports the Data team, collaborates with technology and development teams to understand structural requirements, and defines standards for data storage, consumption, integration, modeling, and management across the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

This position is located in Springfield, MO.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Work with business analysts, source system support teams, and other partners to prioritize and drive technical deliverables across data warehousing efforts such as data acquisition, data modeling, data distribution, and reporting.
2. Provide leadership and guidance for developing and maintaining application architecture and development standards adhering to industry best practices.
3. Articulate the trade-offs, benefits, and risks of architecture and design solutions.
4. Possess strong understanding of data modeling tools and standards, ETL tools, and big data technologies.
5. Demonstrate clear communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills, along with business judgment and expertise in directing technical staff efforts.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
• 6+ years of experience in data warehouse, data migration, or integration
• Minimum 3 years of lead experience in data warehousing, reporting, and/or migration
• Strong people management skills, including providing constructive feedback with a focus on accountability and development
• Comfort working with all project stakeholders including business users, architects, project managers, business analysts, developers, test analysts, and support teams
