Job summary

RCT Systems is seeking a senior-level Data Architect/SME to support a mission-focused program spanning data acquisition, engineering, and management. The role collaborates across data engineering, software engineering, security, DevOps, application development, data science, and program management teams.

Key responsibilities include designing cloud-based data infrastructure, building ETL pipelines, and working with AWS, Hadoop/HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• Experience with AWS and cloud data platforms.
• Experience building ETL pipelines and data processing.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and big-data tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and support cloud-based data infrastructure and data management solutions.
• Build and execute ETL/data processing pipelines.
• Work across AWS, Hadoop/HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL environments.
• Integrate data flows with industry-standard systems.
• Collaborate with contractor teams, customer personnel, and external stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work independently and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Senior-level Data Architect/SME supporting a customer mission focused on data acquisition, exploitation, engineering, and management. The role works across data engineering, software engineering, security, DevOps, application development, data science, and program management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support cloud-based data infrastructure and data management solutions.
• Build and execute ETL/data processing pipelines.
• Work across AWS, Hadoop/HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL environments.
• Integrate data flows with industry-standard systems, including Niagara Falls.
• Collaborate across contractor teams, customer personnel, and external stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work independently and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Cloud infrastructure and data management, particularly AWS.
• TS/SCI with polygraph
• Multiple operating systems: Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Data engineering and processing.
• Python.
• Building and executing ETL pipelines.
• Big-data technologies such as HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, and Presto.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Data-flow integration and mission-oriented data systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of targeting workflows and mission environments.
• Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic workflows.
• Experience in a hard-target mission area.
