Job summary

RCT Systems is seeking a senior Data Architect/SME to lead architecture and execution of data acquisition, processing, and management in a mission-focused program from McLean, VA. The role spans data engineering, software, security, DevOps, and data science teams to deliver integrated data solutions.

Responsibilities include building cloud-based data infrastructure, executing ETL pipelines, and enabling cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

Cloud data architecture and management experience with AWS.
Experience building and operating ETL pipelines and data engines.
Hands-on data processing using big-data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Cloudera.
Strong data-flow integration and cross-team collaboration across multiple domains.
Proficiency in communicating complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Design and support cloud-based data infrastructure and data management solutions.
Build and execute ETL/data processing pipelines.
Work across AWS, Hadoop/HDFS, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL environments.
Integrate data flows with industry-standard systems, including Niagara Falls.
Collaborate across contractor teams, customer personnel, and external stakeholders.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work independently and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
