Job summary

The Florida Baptist Convention seeks a Data and Technology Manager to own our church management platform, keep records up to date, and translate ministry needs into practical systems staff can use daily.

You will build reports, manage the Annual Church Profile data entry, oversee our tech partner, and guide responsible AI adoption to prevent outages and data incidents. This role supports stewardship and Kingdom impact across Florida churches.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in technology or data systems with hands-on platform administration.
• Hands-on CRM or church management system experience including data entry and record maintenance.
• Experience working in a managed-services model with vendors handling infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Active member in good standing of a Southern Baptist church; denominational work experience is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Personally own and maintain our church management platform, keeping records accurate and current


• Build reports and dashboards that help ministry leaders make confident decisions


• Manage the Annual Church Profile process, including entering and verifying church-reported data


• Serve as our primary partner to our contracted technology support provider, overseeing performance and vendor budgets


• Guide responsible AI adoption and lead our response to system outages or data incidents


• Translate ministry needs into working systems, and help staff use our tools well

What We're Looking For

• Five or more years in technology or data systems, including hands‑on platform administration


• Hands‑on CRM or church management system experience, including data entry and record maintenance, is required


• Comfort working within a managed‑services model, setting strategy while vendors handle infrastructure


• A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience


• Active member in good standing of a Southern Baptist church; denominational work experience is a plus
