Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation is seeking a Data Analytics Administrator Intern to assist with the administration, governance, and day-to-day operation of its enterprise analytics environment. The internship offers hands-on experience in access management, workspace and project maintenance, and platform documentation, with exposure to AI/ML-enabled analytics tools.

The position is part-time (20 hours/week) during the school year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer, and requires

Qualifications

• Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.
• Must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in school or higher education.
• Preference for students in Information Science, Data Analytics, MIS, or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and operation of TxDOT's enterprise analytics platform environment.
• Review support tickets and help maintain user accounts, groups, workspaces, and access permissions.
• Support dashboard development, testing, and validation of analytics platform features.
• Monitor data refresh schedules and report failures or anomalies.
• Help collect and report platform usage metrics and customer support trends.
• Support data governance practices and documentation, including naming conventions and version control.
