Job summary

State of Florida in Tallahassee seeks a Planning Consultant (MS Analyst II) to lead data analytics for the Bureau of Motorist Compliance. You will oversee planning and support for data integrity analyses, guide teams on data initiatives, and deliver statistical reports to leadership.

The role requires drafting Legislative Bill Analysis and Business Requirement Documents for legislative implementations, plus proficiency in Tableau, DAVID, and SQL queries.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform independent research and compile reports.
• Ability to effectively communicate with groups.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external customers. Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Sharepoint and Tableau.
• Ability to be flexible in daily scheduling and tasking.
• Knowledge of basic office processing.
• Knowledge of Florida Traffic Law and Division Policy and Procedures.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate office processing workflow.
• Ability to correctly interpret the Florida Driver License Record.
• Ability to supervise, train, and instruct personnel on use of established agency systems such as DAVID and Crash database.
• Ability to write business requirements (Work Request and Prioritization aka WRAPS) for system enhancements, bugs, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Process the Bureau of Motorist Compliance data analytics and act as analytics SME.
• Provide planning and support to data integrity analysis and studies; lead teams to support data initiatives.
• Provide various statistical reports to leadership and maintain tracking measures.
• Research and analyze systems to implement process improvements.
• Draft Legislative Bill Analysis and Business Requirement Documents for Legislative implementations.
