Job summary

Ruan is seeking a Data Analytics Intern for Summer 2027 to support data gathering, cleaning, and analysis using SQL, Python or R. This internship offers exposure to cross-functional teams and real-world transportation and supply chain projects.

The role is a temporary, part-time/hourly position with a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote work. Candidates pursuing degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing reports and presentation material (~25%).
• Providing day-to-day activities supporting internal/external customer needs (~25%).
• Fully supporting financial business case analysis (~25%).
• Participating in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects; providing technical support (~20%).
• Performing other duties and special projects as required (~5%).

Ruan is now hiring a Data Analytics Intern for Summer 2027.

This is a full-time position that will work a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.

The Data Analytics Intern will assist in gathering data from various sources and ensure its accuracy and completeness utilizing statistical methods and tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-informed decision-making processes.

The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.
