Job summary

Ruan is now hiring a Data Analytics Intern for Summer 2027. This internship is a temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly role with a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.

The Data Analytics Intern will assist in gathering data from various sources, ensure accuracy, and apply statistical methods to analyze data and generate actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• You are pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience or exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing reports and presentation material 25%.
• Support day-to-day activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs 25%.
• Fully support financial business case analysis 25%.

Ruan is now hiring a Data Analytics Intern for Summer 2027.

This is a full-time position that will work a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.

The Data Analytics Intern will assist in gathering data from various sources and ensure its accuracy and completeness utilizing statistical methods and tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-informed decision-making processes.

The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
