Job summary

Ruan is seeking an Application Development Intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time position with a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote work.

You will partner with a Senior developer to learn and assist with enhancements, troubleshooting, bug fixes, upgrades, and new development in a predominantly C# .NET environment. The internship targets students pursuing IT or related fields and offers exposure to microservice architecture in a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• Education: Some College Courses Preferred; IT-related degree recommended.
• Experience: none

Ruan is now hiring an Application Development Intern for Summer 2027.

This is a full-time position that will work a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.

The Application Development Intern will partner with a Senior developer to learn and assist with enhancements, troubleshooting, bug fixes, upgrades, and or new development.

Great opportunity to gain exposure to microservice architecture in a large diverse enterprise of both vendor SaaS and on prem in house developed systems.

Work on an agile team in a predominantly C# .Net environment.

The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.
