Job summary

Hoffman Construction in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time, in-person role supports data-driven decision making by building and maintaining reports and dashboards using Excel, Smartsheet, and Power BI, while cleaning data and ensuring quality.

You will assist with data preparation for data science initiatives, collaborate with project teams, and pursue data courses to enhance your skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and MS Office 365
• Familiarity with Procore or Smartsheet
• Experience with data analysis tools (Power BI, Python)
• Experience with data reporting tools (Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
• Knowledge of Python programming and ML concepts
• Willingness to travel up to a week to project sites
• Understanding of construction in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources for analysis and reporting
• Check data quality and clean data as needed
• Maintain reports and dashboards for Department and Project Managers
• Create Power BI reports and dashboards
• Assist on construction project data preparation for data science initiatives
• Support data strategy activities and updating data flowcharts
