Job summary

SMX seeks a Data Analytics Engineer to build and support enterprise reporting using Oracle Analytics and budget formulation software. The role turns complex budget, financial and operational data into actionable insights, bridging data systems with business leaders to drive smart decisions for SMX and our DoW clients.

You will design dashboards, manage data models and budgeting applications, optimize data pipelines, troubleshoot data flow issues, and collaborate with budgeting and business

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel and O365 suite; capable of building ad hoc analyses.
• Experience developing dashboards in OBIEE or Oracle Analytics Server or equivalent tools.
• Minimum 5 years in systems development using Agile methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management across requirements, design, and delivery lifecycles.
• Clear and professional written communication; ability to map processes and walk through designs.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Oracle Analytics Cloud and budgeting software.
• Maintain and optimize budgeting databases, planning applications, and data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot data flow, performance, and reporting discrepancies quickly.
• Collaborate with budgeting and operations teams to translate data needs into technical solutions.
• Run data validation checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
